  • Welcome to Stack Overflow! Unfortunately there's no "right" answer to this, especially when it comes to "no downtime" - we really don't have insight into how your app works, whether you'll be continuing to write data to the old database(s) while also writing to the new database(s) vs moving to a read-only model for one of the sets of databases, how long a migration might take, etc. And what happens if the migration tool fails - how would you recover? Then there is Changefeed, Datafactory, other custom solutions... Lots to think about but... no single right answer. – David Makogon Mar 27 at 2:37
  • All that said: There's a lot of documentation published by the Cosmos DB team, and they may have some additional guidance there (with likely much more details than my tl;dr version above). I'd suggest starting there. – David Makogon Mar 27 at 2:38
